We have several different groups and sessions available.

If you are unsure which session is the best for you please contact us and we will be happy to help you choose.

 

Whether you are completely new to running and looking for a beginners running course, already run and want to improve or perhaps would like to try one of our bootcamps hopefully there is something here for you.

Beginners Course

This is an 8 week course designed for absolute beginners, or those returning to running after a break.

It is a progressive course, so we start with very short running intervals mixed with walking and each week we introduce more running and less walking. At the end of the 8 weeks you will be running 5k !

We will meet once a week for a session of up to an hour, this includes a warm up, the session, a cool down and stretch. 
You will also need to complete 2 'homework' runs a week.

We set up a private facebook page for the group so that those who are on the course can contact each other easily and then arrange to do their homework runs together if they choose too. 

We offer our beginners courses several times a year, both in the evenings and during the day.

Improvers Course

Our improvers course is an 4 week course designed for those that can have just completed our beginners course, or Couch to 5km, or just starting running 5km distance but aren't yet confident at this distance.

 

We will help you improve your confidence over the 5km distance. We will meet once a week for a session of up to an hour, this includes a warm up, 5km run, a cool down and stretch.

 

You will also need to complete 2 'homework' runs a week.

 

There is a private facebook page for the group so that those who are on the course can contact each other easily and then arrange to do their homework runs together if they choose too.

5km to 10km Course

Our 5km to 10km course is an 8 week course designed for those who have completed our beginners course, or Couch to 5k, or can already run 5km.

 

It is a progressive course where we will run intervals of increasing distance and time. At the end of the 8 weeks you will be running 10k !

 

This course is not about speed, everyone will be encourage to run at their own pace. We will meet once a week for a session of around an hour, this includes a warm up, the session, a cool down and stretch. Towards the end of the course the session may be longer than an hour depending on everyone's running pace.

 

You will also need to complete 2 'homework' runs a week. We will have a private facebook page for the group so that those who are on the course can contact each other easily and then arrange to do their homework runs together if they choose too.

Training Sessions

We offer 7 training sessions a week, 2 during the day and 5 in the evening.

Our training group sessions are different each week, the aim of the group is to improve strength, stamina and pace. 


The sessions are 30 minutes long and incorporate different sessions such as hills, short, medium or longer intervals, fartlek training and strength training. 


We have runners of all different abilities and everyone works to their own level. They really are suitable for everyone. 
We train hard but like to have fun with it too.

These sessions can be attended whenever you can make it, rather than signing up for a course. They are £6 per session or you can purchase 8 sessions in advance for £40 which you can use at any time.  Your first session is free, so come and give it a go !

Run Fit Bootcamps

Our monthly bootcamp sessions are a fantastic combination of running training and strength work.


Working with personal trainer Sean from SurreyFit, the one hour session is half running training with Louise and half strength work with Sean.
Pushing you to your limits, while always having fun.

Socials 

Whether it is a social run together, a charity event, or a boozy brunch, we love to have fun together as much as we like to run together.

We are very proud of the friendships that have been formed through Coulsdon Runners, and the support and encouragement that is always evident at our sessions.  This is always celebrated where possible with social events and occasions where everyone is very welcome.
